Dean and Kyria
Dean and Kyria served in Central Asia for two years, but have recently returned to the states for medical leave as they seek treatment for chronic pain in Dean’s Achilles tendon. They will not be returning to Central Asia, as the rest of their team is no longer living in the region. Dean and Kyria recently accepted an invitation to serve in Ethiopia. Their first year will be focused on learning Amharic, one of the many languages of Ethiopia. After that, Dean plans to work on a “Faith and Farming” initiative, bringing Christ and Scripture to people in agriculture.
Praises: Praise God for leading Dean and Kyria to a new assignment, after being unable to return to their previous assignment. Praise God for their son, who will celebrate his first birthday this May. Prayer requests: Pray for peace in preparation for this move. Pray for God to make them ready for this new work. Pray for Dean and Kyria, as a couple and as parents. Pray for all the logistics, including paperwork, vaccines, and finalizing travel dates for May/June. |
