Susannah Clark
Welcoming Refugees in Pittsburgh with AgapaoI was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya where my parents served as missionaries with Cru. During my sophomore year of collage, I attended a missions conference and felt God calling me to overseas missions. A year later, I moved to China where I served as an English teacher for several years. During that time, I also studied the Chinese language and assisted with Chinese gatherings. In 2015 I completed a Masters degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Columbia International University and spent two more years in China.
I am currently living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I serve with a ministry called Agapao. My desire is to minister to the refugees and immigrants here in our city in order to show them God's love and share the wonderful message of hope and peace that can only be found in Jesus Christ. Prayer Requests: Praise God provided for the quick sale of Susannah's small car and the donation of a larger vehicle for the cost of what is left on the givers loan which is $7000. Pray for the bank’s approval to continue this loan Praise Relationships with refugees are growing! Pray for the growth of trust and opportunities to speak into their lives. Praise for the start of an ESL class in Crafton Heights for the refugee community! A woman from the Perspectives Class Susannah went to is helping with this. Praise God for this connection! Pray for people to sign up and for the word to get out. Pray for safety in the midst of covid for this class! Praise there have been a handful of unexpected financial support in the form of the addition of a housemate and a regular child care job. God has provided Pray Susannah remains underfunded. Pray that God would increase her support base. |
