Welcoming Refugees in Pittsburgh with Agapao
I was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya where my parents served as missionaries with Cru. During my sophomore year of collage, I attended a missions conference and felt God calling me to overseas missions. A year later, I moved to China where I served as an English teacher for several years. During that time, I also studied the Chinese language and assisted with Chinese gatherings. In 2015 I completed a Masters degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Columbia International University and spent two more years in China.
I am currently living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I serve with a ministry called Agapao. My desire is to minister to the refugees and immigrants here in our city in order to show them God's love and share the wonderful message of hope and peace that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
Pray that friendships grow with refugees as there are opportunities to serve them including delivering donations of diapers etc after the birth of babies, cooking classes, Delivery of food donations from Farm to Family.
Pray for a potential partnership with Bethany Christian Services to welcome 100 families to the Pittsburgh area and for volunteers to help with this work.
