Brayan and Ashley Jiménez
Serving in Guatemala
Brayan grew up in the streets of Guatemala, and in the midst of the violence and drugs, God spoke to him and pulled him out of that life. Despite dealing with some life-long repercussions of that lifestyle, his deepest desire is to serve God with all his being out of gratitude for what He has done for us. His passion is music and using that to reach the at-risk youth and speak to them about God in hopes of preventing them from falling into the same situations he did.
Ashley grew up in a Christian home in Pittsburgh and has been a follower of Christ for most of her life. However, it wasn't until about 16 years old, after she had fallen into some bad habits, when God called her to a deeper relationship with Him and to pursue missions. She has been living in Latin America since 2013, and has a passion for education, at-risk youth, and women in prostitution.
In 2014, Brayan did a missionary school where he met Ashley. They were married in 2017, welcomed their son in 2018, and their daughter in 2021 (she's due in 2 weeks). Over those years, they have worked in street ministry, children's ministry, and feeding ministry. They are currently seeking more training and support to be able to start a school and after-school program to reach the vulnerable youth growing up in poverty. They also want to work directly with the parents of these children - many involved in prostitution, drugs, gangs, etc. - to help better the family unit as a whole.
