Serving with China Partnership
Hannah loves bringing attention to people and places that it’s hard to hear from. She is the Managing Director for The Center for House Church Theology, which seeks to share the voices of the Chinese house churches with the global church. Hannah also works as the Communications and Content Director for China Partnership, a Christian nonprofit equipping Chinese house churches with pastoral and theological training. She first traveled to China in 2005, and has worked with Chinese scholars in a variety of capacities both in China and the United States.
Hannah has lived in ten cities across three continents and currently lives in South Hamilton, MA with her husband, Trey, who is a professor of Old Testament and Ancient Near Eastern Studies at Gordon-Conwell. They have two daughters.
Despite having called so many different places home, Hannah considers herself a native of Pittsburgh and has strong ties to City Reformed.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
1) Pray for Chinese house churches in the midst of increased harassment and persecution. Pray particularly for pastors and their families.
2) Pray for their publishing work to continue and grow. Pray especially for publishing projects that would help connect China’s house churches with persecuted churches in other parts of the world.
3) Pray for Hannah to be secure in Jesus as she takes on more leadership roles. Pray for wisdom and endurance especially.
4) Pray for the Nation family as they continue to adjust to life in the Boston metro area. Pray that God would provide them with a good house, a good community of friends, and opportunities to share the gospel with neighbors.
5) Pray for Trey and Hannah as they both formally and informally mentor seminarians on Gordon-Conwell’s campus. Pray for a new generation of healthy church leadership to be raised up.
