5 Year Vision
Our church was started in 2004 as a church plant of First Reformed Presbyterian Church in Penn Hills. In February 2008 we become an independent church (particularized) in the Presbyterian Church in America denomination.  As part of this process we became financially self supporting in the summer of 2007 and elected elders (leaders) of the church in January of 2008. We are working to have deacons and women leaders in place by the end of 2008.

Our vision is to impact the city of Pittsburgh with the message of grace and renewal found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We recognize that in order to do that we will likely need to help establish ministries that will exist outside of our own congregation. Our original visions was to include things such as the following:

  •  planting new churches (or new worship sites),
  •  establishing university ministries on the campuses of the city schools, and
  •  assisting and perhaps even establishing mercy ministries which help with the physical needs of people living in the city.

Our original goal was to be able to move into one or more of these endeavors by Fall 2010. We are presently ahead of schedule.  A new university ministry called Reformed University Fellowship has already begun here uner the leadership of Derek Bates. We are prayerfully considering how we can bring the good news of Jesus to all parts of the city.
